My checks got cleared at TSC today.
Previously
My 140 was approved at TSC, sent 485 to Nebraska on June 22, they received on June 25. I called to check status yesterday, the lady said to wait. On asking if case will be transferred to TSC and if TSC will generate receipts, she said she doesn't know, but it may take at least 2-3 weeks to process receipts at Nebraska.

The USCIS has yet to release the detailed progress report on the receipting delays in terms of the numbers that have yet to be processed for receipting. The only thing people know through various private websites just indicates that there are a plenty of people who are still waiting for filing fee checks cashed or receipt notices received for the cases which were filed as early as July 2, 2007, not to mention any later cases.
We reported earlier that the USCIS had allegedly received total of 800,000 cases for the July VB fiasco cases. There is an unconfirmed report that they have completed the receipting only half way through of the total, meaning approximately 400,000. There are no sources of information to verify or confirm the figures. However, if it is correct, the USCIS has yet to process mountains of receipting workloads ahead and the filers have some additional sleepless nights which they will have to endure for a while. AMEN!

Just saw my cheque cashed.. I think it got transferred over to TSC. I sent to NSC on Jul 2. And yes i had LUD in my I-140 as 7/28

Hallo friends, I heard unofficial reports that the reason Dem and certain repub senators are so strongly supporting the cause of ilegal immig is because a huge lobbying group comprised of GC holders + citizens belonging to these groups (hispanics) have promised support to these senators. I therefore have a request to make to our more socially strong members in this group, Please contact our associations/groups and request their support. Mainly areas like CA, Chicago, Texas (dallas), washington etc etc where there are a lot of Indian / other foreign community. Lets get them to talk to their senators for us. And if they dont / are not willing to do that, we should also let them know that this will be anounced publicly to the Indian media / Govt. This is an important obligation on their part to support and raise their voice for us. We are a part of them and if they dont stand for us, we have to point that out publicly. Please somebody take charge of this and see that it happens. We H1b holders strugling for ourselves will not make any difference.

If we see the history H1B and GC numbers were never increased except 2004 20k inpast 15 years In 2000 it was increasd temporarlily for 4 years.Also EB numbers were never increased except temporary reliefs.If it is increased by Skill bill in current form that is really an acheivement. If there is a possiblity they may increase H1B because that is temorary visa(But in reallity not) and GC numbers may remain same. But if increased to 115k then also cap will be reached in another 1 month because there are more number of Desi companies than number of H1Bs. Thats why they are asking exemptions for MS people and 20% adjustment for every year. We have to wait and see whether congress fall on this trap to do this without analysing the impact.

I do understand that our biggest goal is to reduce backlog. With due respect to your opinion, i suggest that we restrict to july fiasco first and then when we get enough traction with this issue, we can then focus on larger issues like backlog reduction etc.
Now that each one of us breathing hot and cold about july error, we better trade on that line.

That is exactly my point. I mean even if the H1B quota DOES increase, is it more harm or good?
The new H1Bs will go at the back of the line, but atleast a lot of the people here like spouses on h4 might get a fighting chance to get new H1s? Somehow I dont see how an increase in the H1 quota can negatively affect us EB folk. Now dont get me wrong that is NOT all I want and nothing would please me more if the EB quota was increased as well. All I am saying is, let us not totally oppose the H1B increases just because most of us on here already have one. Half of the spouses on here can start working the minute the H1B quota is increased. Moreover stuedents already here can start working and dont have to be at the mercy of the H1b quota to graduate etc.
Let me tell you how it can affect you. In an ideal system it will not affect you, but in this one you can't say.
There are folks here who arrived 11 yrs ago who do not have a green card yet. On the other hand there are those that came in 2002 who are sailing pretty. The fact that this is happening and that FIFO is a fallacy, that is proof that it will hurt us.
Here are a few reasons.
1)More H1bs coming from non retrogressed countries will keep siphoning off the visa numbers and limit spillover which we desperately need absent legislation to get out of this hole.
2)As long as the crazy practice of Labour Subs continues, there will always be those youngsters who arrive, grab/buy/are peddled a Labour Sub. cut to the front of the line and move on, while you and I sit sobbing at our fates.
3)As H1bs coming here and not getting green cards becomes entrenched in the minds of employers, they will see you as such and be reluctant to sponsor you for a green card. H1b changes into a vehicle for short term workers much like the J1 visa for resident physicians.
4)L visas are frequently converted to H1bs as a precursor to green card petitioning.

If you are saying that you want a temporary fix then I am sure a lot of people who are in the initial stages or are on just H1 will not support you. Do not say that it will indirectly help them because line in front will be reduced. They want more greencard numbers and no wait times.
You are trying to help folks who are near greencard in last stages only. Such narrow aim should be made wider to get more support.

The morons taking the high moral ground need to make a reality check. let me state that i came here on F1 did my master's and got a job. so i'm not one of those sleazy guys who bent the rules according to these morons.
there is no one ready to give u a job if u dont have a GC or a EAD or OPT or u go through a consultant. These guys should know that first. Everyone does apply through a body shopper which is not right.. but is there a way out...

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels. Also, there is no LUD change on my I140 application, so I guess LUD changes on I-140 mean nothing.
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.
