My labour and I-140 is approved last year and I am working with current employer from last 1 and half years. Employer is making good money trough me.
As now the dates are current, my employer is trying to exploit me.
He is not responding to my mails, and not picking my phone.
Last modified message which I got from him is that:
The whole financials for the company changes with filing 485 for you immediately. So, it is definitely a loss for company to process your 485 immediately.
you need to come with items that you are ready to compromise in return; so that the company also benefits by helping you."
I am very much in tension and he is talking to me.
Can someone suggest what may be the option for me?

Sorry to know about ur health issue.As some one in forum mentioned,u could approach the best doctor first and get your treatment done.Greencards etc are secondary when there could be a better way to survive.

For your Information India's GDP is 3 trillion USD compare to Mexico 1 trillion USD. Taking into account GDP of EU India ranks 5th in GDP higher than any indivisual European nation where as Mexico ranks 13th. This is as per CIA worldfactbook. So where did you get the number

To begin with, this is not the place for me to explain to you the details of difference between Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) GDP (that you quote) and the market exchange rate GDP which I quoted. But since you raised the subject, PPP GDP is adjusted to accomodate for different inflation and consumption rates in different countries. Without the PPT adjustment, India's GDP is equal to Mexico's, even though India has 11 times the population of Mexico. The reason India comes in 4th with the PPP adjustment in the world is because the ruppee is undervalued and Indians have a purchasing power that is 4 times smaller than Mexicans. So, to humor you and use your method of calculation, the Per Capita GDP (PPP) Of India is $3,344 in 2006 and Mexico's is $12,886. "Where are all the Mexican doctores, computer scientists, economists and professors?" you ask. The answer is: They are IN MEXICO making huge salaries, when the Indian ones have to come here because their salaries in India don't give them enough money to eat. Why aren't all the construction workers and lawn workers in the U.S. Indian? Because they cannot affor the airfare. The Mexicans just walk accross the border. Any you know what? All those Indian Professors at Harvard etc are teaching class to all those rich Mexican kids. Get your facts straight before you confront me and make fun of my MBA (which I got in the U.S. incidentally, not Mexico, but if I had wanted I could have gotten a top 20 MBA back home). My situation is not any better. I am working for a GA based company since 2001 got stuck in the backlog center with Priority Date Oct 2003 (labor apporved in Nov 2006 I-140 applied in May). After calling the company HR for 30-40 times in last one week I was able to talk to HR guy, he said the ceo will allow only those who have approved I-140 to apply for I-485. He also said then once priority date retogressed again I will be able to get 3 years H1B ext. that will be good for me.:mad: I think these desi blood sucking compnies will be obsolete in couple of years. If USCIS make the rules better.
I was thinking of disclosing my employers name but then I will never be able to file I-485

Since these cases are seeing daylight, I have question about FP. Anyone who has got FP (only for cases if RN received after 9th oct )?

everyone here is in favor of supporting BILLS and what not for recapturing VISA's and stuff.. but I believe Prevention is better than cure... why do we have to support or introduce these BILLS in the first place.. if USCIS had worked effeciently all these years ? I think instead of introducing BILLS after 5 years to recapture VISAa why cant we do something to make USCIS efficeint right now ??

I think it will be smooth. Landing by road is easier than by air. You need to do the following as soon as you have landed. I recommend you land early in the morning as gov. offices are closed at noon:
1. Locate an HR office and get your SIN number. This will take 30 min to an hour once you are there. You will need to show your Passport and COPR document as a proof.
2. Locate the medical insurance office and obtain your medical insurance card.
3. Go to the post office and obtain a PO box.
4. Open a bank account. Use the PO box address as mailing addres.

I have mentioned IV to a some Indians. They have no interest. Some of them are not bothered about retrogression. They exepect the GC to fall in their lap while they are sipping tea and eating samosa.
Also, it is hard to trust a mainly Indian set up. The Indian contracting companies have set a very shameless level. I told my friends that IV appears different but it is hard to change your opinion when you see something else 10 times a day.
I apolozie to the sensitive Indians if I this is breaking news. But this is the general feeling and a reason for hate in the blogs: where there is smoke there is fire. It is embarassing.

Question for the organizers: If we just concentrate on the visa recapture bill, is that not a one shot solution for all issues. Because as per a very respected lawyer, that will make all EB categories current and will stay there for at least 2 more years.

I am in the same boat. I got Notice welcoming new PR email on 8/5 and nothing after that.
