or maybe the official webside accidently copies the India Other workers date to EB3 ;-) . In my 9th grade a real cool dude who sat next to me would say "Man lives in hope and dies in despair"

Interesting... looks like they set up some kind of automatic system ... I got an email as well for "Card production ordered" for me and my spouse a few minutes back... unfortunately it is not for GC but EAD...

My I-140 approved from TSC. I had sent my I-485 to NSC and I was expecting my application will be transferred to TSC.But, I received receipt from NSC.
I am still waiting for my spouse's receipt.Rest of the details in my signature.

I think it is fair to go by EB level than priority date. Usually the levels mean qualifications. I think they deserve to get GC first! That makes more sense to me.

All 140K GCs are available on Oct 1. However, dates were not current in 2005 and 2006. I think that current dates do not depend on available GCs.
Looks like current dates depend on # submitted AOS's. USCIS is saying that on Jul 2 it has submitted AOS's that exhaust submitted AOS quota.
the availability of dates are determined by DOS after consulting with labor department and USCIS. if the they determine that enough labor applications are pending to fill the entire quota for the year they issue the cut off dates accordingly.
India is allocated only 10,000 visas in all categories(EB1+EB2+EB3). dates will never be current, given around 700K applicants were ready to file. out of the 700K I imagine atleast 35% will be from india, which translate to around 250K applicants from india who are ready to file I-485, india is given 10K , u can do the math and find out for yourself how much time it will take for the dates to be current.

I selected following options for infopass appointment.
You need Service on a case that has already been filed -->Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.
And I carried Receipts for 485,765 and 131 for myself and my wife (of course photo ID).

Q: I am in the Rest of the world chargeability area. My category is EB-3. My priority date is July 27, 2006. Do you think that my priority date will be current in the coming June 2008 visa bulletin. The May 2008 bulletin's cutoff date in my category and chargebility is March 1, 2006.
A: Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing if your priority date will be become current next month. Sometimes the priority dates stay the same for many months, or become unavailable completely like last summer. At times, the dates may jump many months or even years. We can not speculate when your date will become current, as it is truly unpredictable

yes ..I agree with most of the above. the new admin is more protectionist .. I wonder if the analysis will show that a large number of immigrant visas were wasted !!!

There might not be any use, and it might not work, but we have tried to get attention thru media, lobby congress and fight our way through. Law-suit is something that will bring a lot of media attention, and also AILF feels there are strong grounds, so why not?.
I think you need to read the grounds on which AILA and other think there is a strong case again. You dont understand the basic issue.. yes they can change the bulletin any time they want, that is perfectly within the law and yes they are not bound to pay compensation. However the fact that in making the dates current overnight and adjudicating so many cases in such a short time and actually requesting a visa # from DOS etc etc are all contravening the law and thats why there is a strong case..
